Well...i have been very bored lately, so i thought i would juz post something that i heard my dad and brother discussing. Well actually they were arguing, but they still insist it was a 'discussion'. Nvm, let them live in denial for all i care. hehe.
their topic was about laws. My brother said media writes the laws of the world. My dad agreed with that, but added that the gospel should be preached so there is a balance. Then my brother went on to say that preaching is fine, but exposure and experience is better and more effective.
In my opinion i agree with my brother. The lawyers may write out the laws of a particular country, but then tell me how many ppl obey them? Im not saying we should all disobey, im juz pointing out that this world is not so angelic as to obey everything written. If it were, there wouldnt be criminals, the jails wouldnt be packed full and more being built, and ppl wouldnt be watching out in case of a theft or violation of human rights.
But u see, media does play a very very important part. How many ppl out there r influenced by the movies they watch or the songs they hear? Tell me, if u all had a choice which would u pick? To watch a movie or read a storybook? Personally i wouldnt mind either, but survey does show more ppl prefer movies to books. Our current generation prefer visuals. It is easier to understand; juz like a korean movie, few malaysians may understand but by watching the moving pictures, at least there is a little comprehension. Give someone a korean storybook and watch them fall asleep two minutes later.
So there it is...my own personal worldview. Not much, but then im only 15. Notreally experienced and all. hehehe...
