Joyce: How are we starting the story?
Lyn Si: Dunno.
Rachel: Hmm…once upon a time’s too old-fashioned. How about –
Teacher: (walks in class) Good morning class.
All students: (stand up) Gooooooddddd mooorrrrnnniiinnnggg teeeaaaccchhheerrr.
Teacher: Hmm, let’s see. One fine day, you and your boyfriend went to the beach and played hide-and-seek. You hid behind a big rock then one fine day, a few years later, you could not hide there anymore because there was a big hole caused by ‘hakisan laut’. One fine day a few weeks later, the rock became a ‘gerbang laut’.
(A/N 1: The reason this nonsensical dialogue is in the story is because that’s how we really came up with the starting. So enjoy, haha)

The story began to write itself down after the birth of three FANTABULOUS girls of 3 Merah. They were named after the great pirates of the sea. Rachel, Lyn Si and Joyce. They were world-renowned, and pirates, whether old or young, wouldn’t dare speak their names in vain. This story took place in the 17th century (1600 – 1699), in a place where all adventure began, at the Coast of Port-de-Paix. They were once insignificant little girls who cared mostly about what a normal teenager would whine about: a zit, how much carbs they put on after eating toasted bread, or why life was so unfair. Typical? Yes. Or so they thought. They all had different backgrounds of different densities and color. The may seem like magnets of similar poles, that repel, but one thing that stringed them toeter was the fact that they were to become pirate legends. Life treated them pretty roughly until this ring of endless light hit them. Right in the face. They all went to Santa Maria. By fate or coincidence? No one knows. They signed up at a tavern and then they were AGAIN coincidentally grouped together by the famous Capt. Kidd, ranked No. 2 in the pirate world. They had many great adventures together but this particular one was the one that started it all…
Chapter 1 (Joyce’s POV)
We shall emphasize on one fine day. ONE FINE DAY…the sun was shining, the seashells were singing and the palm trees were swaying. No, no, the thunder was raging, the waves were crashing and we were soaking wet. Or was that another day? Ah, whatever.
We were sunning ourselves on deck (unless it was the rainy day, but we can’t agree so we’ll stick with the sunny day) of our ship, the Big Booty Shaker. No we don’t shake booty, we actually borrow and don’t return (or in simple words, we STEAL) them. We’re pro pirates in the service of the head pirate, Captain Kidd. Whenever there’s some rich scum cruising the Caribbean, we’ll be there to welcome them, and…and offer them lollipops! (That was Rachel’s sick idea of conning them evil scumbags) (I wan steal lollipops also lerh XP we will also steal sweets and candies too – Lyn Si) (Shush, little kids. I’ll give you candy later, mmkay?) (*insert colourful words here*– Rachel). As we were saying.
[Beep beeP]
“Ahoy, mateses! Queen Elizabeth II spotted anchored in Petit-Goave yesterday.” (Captain Kidd ‘beep’-ing us)
“Huh? How do we steal from the queen? Does she even go sailing?”
“Idiot. Q E II’s that ship you’ve been eyeing for a while. She carries about 10 000 gold worth of jewellery.”
“Oh. When do we start?”
“Now.” Rachel the vain one of all complained she needed beauty sleep. Her eye bags were humongous and very deprived of her “I-have-to-look-perfect” image. We’ll let you in on a secret…WE’RE ALL GIRLS (unless you haven’t figured that out yourself, being so clever and all. That is a compliment; we’re flattering you). Yes, greedy girls, greedier than any other pirate of the opposite sex. In fact, it is us girls that do all the work. Male pirates were only recognized as macho marshmallows so they wouldn’t win the pirate name. In the end we compromised and decided to let the “Miss-my-cuticles-need-to-be-sandpapered-to-perfection” to sleep. Lazy? Obviously. Lyn Si and I almost always did most of the work. Unless there was 4 hunky gorgeously cute yummay men involved. Eheh. (sob, there are none, it’s just the three of us. We totally capable of navigating our way, being on the sea long enough to get the oh-so-coveted position of Captain Kidd’s highest-ranking pirates). Nearing the Powder Shallows, we sailed into port and got off. We made our way through town dressed in men’s clothing (it’s disguise, kids, disguise) to talk to the Spanish Viceroy. The port was originally French, but the Spanish conquered it and elected their own as governor.
The Viceroy received us warmly enough, but we beat a hasty retreat after his daughter entered and asked to dance with Lyn Si (apparently she thought Lyn Si looked like a guy. Eww) Lyn Si screeched (not very manly) and fainted (again, not quite like a guy. How could the governor’s daughter mistake her for anything else? Oh yeah I forgot, we were in disguise.). We apologized and ran out, dragging her along. We headed for the nearest tavern. Inside, Rachel helped defeat some horny captain who was hitting on the barmaid (She’s cool with long swords – versatile). I tried to wake Lyn Si up (and yay I succeeded), then went to get some info from the gay bartender (He tried to hit on me. On normal circumstances, it would sound…normal, but I was dressed like a guy. Or maybe he knew I am a girl, but whatever). We gathered that the Q E II would be passing by on its way west to Port Royale (neighbouring port, obviously more well equipped than this French excuse for a trading post). Rachel joined me at the bar. Suddenly the bartender turned straight and hinted that the daughter of Curacao’s governor was a “rare beauty”. (When can we take off our disguise?!!??!?!?) She grimaced and we left the tavern to go consult the shipwright.
Two days later, the cruise ship passed. We hurriedly cast off and trailed it all the way to Port Royale. It didn’t stop, as we hoped it would, but passed it by and turned west to Gran Granada. Lyn Si said the name sounded familiar, so we checked about the ship. It’s the location of Blackbeard’s treasure. Goody. We put full sail and picked up speed. Maybe we could reach there before the cruise ship and “surprise” them. Rachel and Lyn Si went to sleep and I took up night duty. Soon, I spotted the cruise ship 9 knots ahead. I fervently wished it would slow down, or at least the BBS (Big Booty Shaker, in case you forgot) would speed up. Currently our speed was 3 knots. 3 KNOTS! Do you know how slow that was? Well, maybe you don’t. Never mind. I went below deck to alert the others; Gran Granada was wearing.
Fortunately, Q E II anchored at the port. From afar, we noticed the passengers were getting off. Lyn Si (Einstein reincarnated, really) suggested we get on board, swipe what we wanted – basically everything, and leave a ‘token of appreciation’ behind. Obviously being the only logical plan, we followed it (Rachel suggested facial products only. Don’t ask what I suggested; not gonna tell). We boarded the cruise ship quietly and began to ransack it. Rachel sat down and wrote a lovely “thank-you-for-letting-us-poor-scums-have-your-unwanted-gold” letter (though we’re incidentally richer than them) and kept it in her pocket. We were about to jump off ship when *BOOM* there appeared…a guy. He wore brown breeches and a loosely tucked shirt. Slung on his shoulders were a sling bag and coils of rope. He stared at us for, like, 5 seconds before grinning and crossing his arms, barring our way out. He wasn’t super muscular, but his arms could have broken ours in two easily if he wanted. Or maybe cut us in half with that rapier sheathed at his side. Seeing him do that, Lyn Si whipped out hers (Rapier 2006 Edition, latest in the market) and assumed her fighting stance. (FYI: That was a promo for the sword, although we have little knowledge about it, save that we must stay away from Lyn Si when she’s in her ‘I’m-pissed-who-can-I-skin-alive-now’ mood)
“Hah, you gonna fight me with that, little man? Small chance, dude.” Lyn Si looked a little infuriated that he called her a little man (maybe she forgot we were in disguise). She jumped forward like lightning and slashed at his legs but he managed to jump just in time. He thrust his sword forward but she parried it like the expert she was. Somewhere during the time where sparks flew between the metals, he had disposed of his coil of rope and bag. Rachel seized the rope and threw one end over the ceiling beam hanging…off the ceiling. Tying a tight knot, I swung on the rope and flung the sling bag smack dab at the man’s head. He fell over, losing his balance. Rachel whipped out her sword and held it at his neck.
